Baptisms at Christ The King Parish are usually celebrated at one of the Sunday Masses. Your child will be baptized into the faith of the community that gathers to celebrate the Sunday Eucharist. Please drop in or phone the Parish Office to fill out the Baptism registry forms.

Students in grade two and up are able to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We are using the family-based program entitled Growing Up Catholic. This program, based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, leads parents and children to learn more about the unconditional love and mercy of God. Children are encouraged to live as friends of Jesus, following the rules and Beatitudes set out for us to live in right relationship with God.

Children in grade three and above are able to prepare for the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Children are also encouraged to have received the Sacrament of Penance before receiving this Sacrament. We will be using the family-based program entitled Growing Up Catholic. This program is based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Families will learn about the Mass, the parts of the Liturgy and Holy Communion. Having a special relationship with Jesus is a fundamental part of the program as we remember, give thanks, praise and pray to the Lord, our bread of life.

Students in grade six and older are able to prepare for this most important Sacrament. Using the family-based program, Growing Up Catholic, students are led to deepen their faith and relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The program is based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Students are led to strengthen their life-long journey of faith as they walk the path of discipleship.
Our worship space was remodelled several years ago to reflect the desire of the Second Vatican Council which called for “the full and active” participation of all the baptized. Our inclusive seating arrangements enables all to focus on the Altar, the prime symbol of Christ and experience the call to active participation. Unlike the more traditional processional church buildings, lengthy processions or passive (theatre-like) activities are not possible. Please consider the unique structure of our worship space and allow us to help you created a beautiful wedding Liturgy. Your guests will not only witness your exchange of vows, they will be an integral part of your wedding experience.

We yearn for peace. We yearn for wholeness. But sometimes it is hard to find. So we turn to God for grace and healing. The Anointing of the Sick is one of a healing sacraments in which the physical signs of the laying on of hands and anointing with sacred oil reveal to us the invisible reality of God’s love and strength poured out upon us.
